Biltmore Estate

Great architecture has always been a passion of mine. As a Peace Corp Volunteer, I traveled extensively throughout Europe and I have rarely seen European Castles that can hold a candle to Biltmore Estates. Sitting on almost 2200 acres of beautifully manicure property this 135,000 sq. Ft. masterpiece  is definitely worth a visit. In addition to the Biltmore House, one can explore the gardens, the winery, the village and lots more. With so much to see and do, one could plan an entire day at Biltmore and not be able to see it all.

The estate is currently open with modified hours.

North Carolina Arboretum

I have heard some people say Arbor-eat-um and others say Arbor-ate-um. I figure it’s “eat-um” while you’re visiting and “ate-um” when you’re done. However you say it, it is a place you’ll want to plan a day. Just 4 short minutes, 1.9 miles from Asheville River Cabins for rent and no admission charge (Parking fees though) plan on visiting this beautiful place. Hiking and biking trails abound.

Alice in wonderland didn’t have this much beauty to look at.
