What extra charges are included?

All reservations incur a combination of North Carolina & Buncombe County Sales & Occupancy Taxes that total to 11% of the Rental Rate Amount. This amount is shown to you when you set up your reservation online. Asheville River Cabins does not charge a cleaning fee as long as guests leave the cabin as they found it.

What do I need to bring?

Just bring food. Maps are furnished in each cabin showing the location of a supermarket located just a few miles away.

Linens, towels, dishes, cooking utensils, coffee maker, electric can opener, toaster, hair dryer, soap, paper goods, and some cleaning implements are included with each cabin rental.

Do you allow fishing?

Yes, however, you must have a fishing license. Go to ncwildlife.org for licenses online. Request Fishing rods at the time you make your reservation or call after you arrive. Live bait can be found at most convenience stores in the area.

Can I bring a kayak for the river?

Yes. We can take you upstream or pick you up downstream for a charge of $50. Should you prefer not to bring your kayak we can rent you one for an additional $25.

How far is Asheville River Cabins from Asheville?

Asheville River Cabins is located just outside the Asheville City limits within ten (10) miles from the center of Downtown Asheville.

Does Asheville River Cabins offer Pet-friendly cabins?

Yes. Pets are allowed in The Americana Cabin. A pet fee of $25 per day is automatically charged to your reservation when you acknowledge you are bringing a pet. Fee covers up to two dogs. No cats allowed. Should someone fail to acknowledge bringing a pet, brings more than two dogs, or brings a cat (or other type pet) they will be subject to eviction or double pet fee charges.

How many guests per cabin?

Most of our cabins have sleeper sofas so that a maximum total of four could stay at each cabin (except for the 100 Year Old Cabin which accommodates couples only). The Bear Cabin (#8) can accommodate up to seven (7) guests (rate includes first 4 guests).  An extra-guest fee of $25 per day per guest is automatically charged to your reservation when you acknowledge the total number in your party. Should someone fail to acknowledge bringing extra guests they will be subject to eviction or double guest fee charges.

Do your cabins have hot tubs?

Only the Honeymoon/Spa Cabin has a hot tub which is located on the back screened-in deck. This cabin also offers a TV in the bedroom, built-in speakers throughout the cabin as well as in the Hot Tub.

How much is the reservation deposit?

All reservations will be charged 100% if within 30 days of arrival. Reservations made in advance of 30 days will be charged 50% with the balance being charged within 30 days before arrival.

Can you take a reservation over the phone?

Yes, however, we prefer guests to make cabin reservations online. It is quicker, easier, and there is less chance of a mistake. Making reservations online is just as safe as over the phone.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 31 days prior to arrival will be refunded minus a $75 cancellation fee. The full amount is non-refundable for cancellations made within 30 days of arrival unless we are able to re-rent the cabin for any portion of dates as your original reservation.
